Volunteer Group Participates in the Great Day of Gardening

The Rose Roots Community Garden was established to create a more engaged community and bring together the community of Arvada.

This year on May 14th, the garden hosted its “Great Day of Gardening” in partnership with Denver Urban Gardens and the City of Arvada.

Many members of local church congregations volunteered.

Projects completed include staining the South Pavillion table, weeding the front walkway and pollinator garden, grading the Westside and installing edging, mulching of community plots, a visit with our Pollinator Study researcher from NCSU, and helpful information was shared at the Master Gardener workshop.
