Inspired by the Relief Society motto of “Charity Never Faileth,” the women of the Denver Stake recently dedicated part of their annual women’s conference to serving women in need from their community.

It’s a tradition in the stake to incorporate a service project as part of the conference. The women created 50 fuzzy blankets and assembled personal care kits for the Catholic Charities of Denver Women’s Emergency Services. The blankets and care kits will be distributed at three of their main emergency shelters in Denver.

The Denver Stake’s Aerie Nandi said, “This year our combined efforts will provide a soft, warm blanket along with some fresh socks and a few toiletries to women who have fallen on hard times. Our hope is the women will feel the warmth and love that went into creating these blankets and kits for them.”

Nandi encourages others who want to find ways to help people in their community to visit the JustServe website or app where there is an abundance of local service opportunities.
