Coming Together To Serve Afghan Refugees

On April 26th, women from the Denver North Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints met together to learn from and serve members of the Masjid Ikhlas | Metropolitan Denver North Islamic Center. The Two groups came together during Covid when needs arose to help refugees in our community from Afghanistan.

Tuesday night, attendees learned more about the Muslim faith, various needs of the refugees and then spent time making hijabs, love at home door signs, tasting traditional food and wrapping around 100 gifts that will be provided to children from the Mosque for Ramadan next week.
