Aurora Women and Youth Join WeeCycle for Infant-Focused Service Project
By Shannon Drees, Arapahoe Stake Media Specialist
For the second year, the Arapahoe Stake Relief Society (a service-oriented organization for women in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) in Aurora joined with WeeCycle for their summer service project.
A total of 116 volunteers gathered on Wednesday, June 4 to assemble infant supply bags and to sort and assemble child wardrobe bags. All ages were able to participate, including a special task for young children to decorate and write cards of encouragement to the parents who will be recipients of the assembled supplies.
Stake members also donated infant essentials that were included in the supply bags. WeeCycle is a local non-profit that distributes diapers, wipes, formula and other essentials to families throughout Colorado.
