Westminster Woman Rallies Co-Workers to Create Food Kits for Homeless

By Carly Smith, Westminster Stake Media Specialist

Westminster’s Rachael Hasler was recently tasked by her employer, RBC Wealth Management, to organize a community outreach service project. She’s a member of the Westminster Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she reached out to see if the Westminster Fish Food Bank at Westminster Presbyterian Church could use extra homeless food kits, and the answer was a resounding yes! The need is great.

Rachael quickly got to work. She rallied her team of 40 employees, gathered specific donations and over the past several weeks coordinated the assembly of kits at her workplace.

The donations were delivered to the Westminster Fish Food Bank. In total, they assembled 150 homeless kits along with a large amount of additional food and supplies.

Melissa Dukes, the Food Bank’s director, was thrilled. This generous contribution will go a long way in serving members of the Westminster community who need it most.

A huge thank you to Rachael, her team at RBC Wealth Management, and everyone who helped make this possible. Your kindness truly makes a difference!
