Parker Realtor Creates “Field of Honor” as Tribute to Veterans, First Responders & Local Heroes

By Corey Christiansen, Denver Region Media Specialist

Parker realtor and member of the Parker Stake Seth Jenson wanted to ensure all of his community’s heroes felt honored. He created the “Field of Honor” which consisted of 250 American flags placed in Parker’s Stonegate neighborhood. The tall field of flags majestically waved from September 7-11 as a way to honor the community’s veterans, first responders and local heroes like teachers, coaches and mentors.

Jenson said each flag is meant to be a symbol of gratitude for the sacrifices made by all of the community’s heroes. “This is more than just a flag display,” he said. “It’s a heartfelt tribute to those who protect and serve. “My team and I hope everyone in the community feels the profound gratitude and unity this event represents.”

Field of Honor was supported by community flag dedications, donations, sponsorships and volunteer efforts. Proceeds from the event will benefit Folds of Honor, a nonprofit providing scholarships to families of fallen and disabled service members.

On the final night of the event, Field of Honor held a closing ceremony that featured remarks by Parker Mayor Jeff Toborg and Folds of Honor Regional Impact Officer Karenmarie Barker.
